A multi- Sony Award winning producer, editor, DJ and sound designer with more than 20 years in the industry across BBC radio and the commercial sector. Specialising in creating content and managing teams for high profile BBC programmes, brands and on-air talent from Chris Evans to Claudia Winkleman.
Paul began his career in music as guitarist with the band Bark Psychosis and produced soundscapes for galleries and installations around the UK.
In 1993 Paul joined Kiss 100 FM as a DJ, presenting the weekly Chill Out Zone show. Paul presented this show and the Extended Chill Out Zone on Kiss 100 Fm for 7 years. Paul also was the ExecutivePproducer of all specialist shows on the dance station. Paul DJ'd at hundreds of clubs across the globe and also at many of the major festivals including Ibiza, Glastonbury, Sonar and The Love Parade. Paul also later ran his own weekly club night ‘One World Live’ at the Notting Hill Arts Club, which was highly successful and ran for 3 years.
From Kiss, Paul moved to BBC Radio 1, initially to produce the ‘One World’ series, but went on to produce nearly every programme at the network. Paul became executive producer of the Radio 1 staff shows as well as many of the big outside broadcasts, including Bestival and Green Man. Managing large scale outside broadcasts for the BBC has been a big part of Paul’s career, with events including Bobby & Nihal in India, Dave Pearce in Ibiza, Glastonbury, the Electric Proms and Notting Hill Carnival.
Paul has produced / managed a large and diverse range of talent, from John Peel and Tim Westwood to Annie Mac to Carl Cox to Dave Grohl. He has worked for all the key BBC networks including Radio 1, Radio 2, 6Music, 5-Live and Radio 4.
Paul has also been musical director / DJ for many fashion brands during London, Paris and NY Fashion Weeks. This has included 18 seasons with Margaret Howell.
Paul is currently Head of Production at Wisebuddah, being the Executive Producer for Michael Ball, Claudia Winkleman, Huey Morgan, Mary Anne Hobbs, Johnnie Walker, Yasser, PHS and Charlie Sloth amongst others.
Outside of radio, Paul has his own recording studio and has produced, remixed and released over 100 tracks for labels ranging from Ninja Tune to The Big Chill. Paul produced the Official New Years Eve Countdown music for the Lord Mayor of London's Celebrations for three years (heard by over 80 million people annually) and has produced music and sound design for radio, TV, art galleries and numerous international events.
